Man, yesterday sucked. I had to work on a Saturday, so that didn't help, but as soon as we opened (which was 15 minutes early, anyway), the boss was yelling at Tim, my manager, about all kinds of things. They were both pissed at eachother, and it was just stupid. The boss forgot to order automatic transmission fluid and some fuel filters, so we couldn't sell them, and yet he's getting mad at Tim because we're not making enough in sales. Jeez.
Also, if you work on a Saturday that is a payday, whoever arrives first is the first to go to lunch. Lunch starts at 11:00, and the bank is only open until Noon. Half an hour lunches mean that only two people can get their paychecks cashed before the banks close, otherwise you have to wait until Monday to cash your check. And who wants that, really? Fortunately I was the 2nd person to get there, so I was able to get my paycheck cashed and still go to lunch. On the way to the bank however, there is tons and tons of road construction that I was not aware of. Had to find this weird alternate route to get there, plus I almost hit someone's dog. Scared the piss out of me. For a second he disappeared from sight, and I was sure he was a goner. I slammed on the brakes as soon as I saw him, tires screeching. I had a lump in my throat for the longest time afterwards, I think it was my heart, but the stupid dog just kept on runnin' across the street.
Ashley starts grave shifts today, so last night was the "try to keep Ashley up as long as possible" movie marathon night. Too bad she only rented one good movie, otherwise I would have stayed up to watch the other two with her. I think the intent of the other two movies was to scare her awake, or to keep her from going to sleep...The Butterfly Effect (not really scary, but I'm sure it'd be creepy), and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I don't handle scary movies well, or I have nightmares, like after watching Dawn of the Dead. Anyway, Mom, Ashley, and I watched 13 Going on 30 with Jennifer Garner from Alias, and it was really cute. Good chick flick.
Kill Bill Volume 2 comes out on Tuesday, and we haven't even had it here in theatres! So we're probably just going to buy it anyway.
That's it for now. Going to go see The Bourne Supremacy with Mom and Ashley tonight, so yay. I've wanted to see that for a while and we just finally got it here in town. Too bad it's not at the newly remodeled theatre...I really like that one now. Oh well. Popcorn and Twizzlers, here I come.
